How to Get Involved

Attend Our Public Lit Arts Events

We offer many lit arts events throughout the year, including themed readings, facilitated conversations, socials, and more — most of them free and open to the public. Click the icon to visit our events calendar.

Take Classes

We offer more than 40 classes for writers and readers from September to May, led by the area’s best writers and writing teachers. Click the icon to go to our classes page.

Write With Us: Pen to Paper

“Pen to Paper” is a free gathering for writers—anyone who writes or wishes to start (or restart). Each one-hour session includes a short craft lesson and a writing prompt, 30-40 minutes of writing time, and an opportunity for sharing your work. Tuesdays 9:30-10:30 a.m. via Zoom. Click the icon to learn more.

Volunteer

We need help. By which we mean, we need you. Have time and skills to offer? Contact kathie (at) charlottelit.org and we can talk about it.
