For the writer who has—or needs—a website and blog, the writing is probably the easier part. The technology can be vexing, and there are so many choices—and so many strong opinions on the internet about these choices—that it’s hard to know what’s the right thing to do. In this class, we’ll make all the choices for websites and blogs plain (self-hosted vs. fully-hosted, WordPress vs. Tumblr vs. all the rest); we’ll examine the mechanics of writing and posting to a blog, and building or buying a website. Bring your laptop for some hands-on exploration.
