Our stories are formed by the choices we make in life, and we all have stories that matter. Learn how to get your personal stories and reflections on life out into the world where others can hear and read them. In this donation-based* six-week program, Bruce McIntyre—Charlotte Lit member, retired business person, and author of the blog Choices Do Matter (www.choicesdomatter.org)—will guide a small group of emerging writers for weekly writing exercises and conversation about the different forms writing can take. Each 90-minute session covers a different writing topic or format. Here’s what to expect in every session:

• An encouraging, non-threatening environment
• Writing tips for starting a writing practice
• In-class writing prompts and exercises
• Opportunities for sharing your writing with others
• A greater understanding of different writing formats and outlets
