Technology Toolkit: Software and Tech Stuff for Writers

March 19, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

- $55 – $65

Let’s face it, writing is difficult work. Maybe it’s true that we suffer for our art—but it shouldn’t be the technology that causes it. In fact, having the right tools for the job can make the writing life a lot more pleasant. In this class, we’ll overview multiple writing tools and platforms––dictation software, timers, distraction stoppers, etc.; explore grammar and proofreading tools; talk about the relative costs and benefits of using Scrivener vs. Word; and discuss the best ways of backing up our manuscripts so we never lose a word.
