January 22 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

From Paradise Lost to The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, Mary Shelley’s 1818 classic Frankenstein has a wide-ranging influence on our literature and culture. On January 22, to celebrate the 200th birthday of the novel’s publication, Charlotte Lit partners with the Gaston County Public Library for a screening of 1935’s The Bride of Frankenstein, followed by a discussion of Frankenstein’s influence with author and educator David Poston.
