About the 2022 Lit/South Awards & Litmosphere Journal

Charlotte Lit received over 450 submissions to our inaugural Lit/South Awards. Current and past residents  North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and Virginia were invited to enter their work into four categories (poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and flash) for a share of $10,000 in prizes plus publication. The 2022 prizes in each category are:

First Place: $1,500
Second Place: $500
Third Place: $250
Honorable Mention: $50

All prize-winning entries including honorable mentions were published in the Spring 2022 issue of Litmosphere: Journal of Charlotte Lit, alongside the works of our judges, Ron Rash, Jessica Jacobs, Nickole Brown, Stephanie Elizondo Griest, and Tara Campbell.
