Kathie Collins, Charlotte Lit Co-founder

Kathie Collins

After her children grew up and, one-by-one, left their house in the city,
Kathie Collins moved to a gorgeous slice of wooded farmland near the
Yadkin River in East Bend, NC, where she’s building a retreat center and
spends many hours communing with the birds and her overpacked
bookshelves. Kathie is a poet, mythologist, and co-founder and creative
director of Charlotte Center for Literary Arts and editor-in-chief of Charlotte
Lit Press. She’s the author of Jubilee (Main Street Rag), and her poems
have appeared in Kakalak, Pedestal Magazine, Santa Fe Lit Review,
Susurrus, and others. Kathie is a 2023 Pushcart nominee, and a finalist in
both the Iron Horse Lit Review and Palette Poetry 2023 Chapbook
